Summer Camp

WILD Child Summer Camp

Chesterbrook School of Natural Learning is hosting our annual summer nature camp. The outdoors holds an enormous amount of potential to support healthy and complete emotional, physical, social and cognitive development! CSNL is a place where children can spend their summer exploring and discovering the world around them.

CSNL’s hosts the WILD Child Summer program in the month of July. Each week offers an engaging, imaginative theme for your child to explore. Each weekday also has a theme connected with the week’s focus!

WILD About the Arts

July 8 - 12

Ages: 3-12 Years
Whether your child loves putting on plays, dancing around the house, or creating unique artwork, this week is for them! Jump into all aspects of the arts through drama, visual arts, sculptures, creative writing, music, and movement! Learn about the many different purposes of the arts including expression, cultural significance, entertainment, and carrying on traditions. We look forward to the many creations that occur this unique week of camp!

Wet & WILD Sensory

July 15 - 19

Ages: 3-12
Join us for a week of exploring the environment with all 5 senses! Your child will learn how taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing works through engaging books, experiments, and projects.  From exploring slime to trying unique foods to mud pits and water sprinklers, they will be immersed in activities to stimulate their senses all week long!

WILD Woodland Olympics

July 22 - 26

Ages: 3-12 Years
Participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics here at CSNL! The children will test their strength, perseverance, and practice good sportsmanship through unique, nature-themed activities based on the Olympic events we all know and love. From forest gymnastics to pinecone shot put, children will learn about the history and symbolism of the Olympic games while competing in events with a natural twist! Our week will end with closing ceremonies complete with a victory lap and homemade medals!

Surviving the WILD

July 29 - Aug 2

Ages: 5-7 Years
Set your child’s imagination and adventurous spirit free as they learn about the natural environment and the important skills of survival-shelter, water, fire and food. No matter what your child’s background, from never having camped before, to the most experienced nature enthusiast, they’ll have a BLAST at this camp. Activities include plant identification, animal tracking/study, basic first aid, shelter construction, and safe hiking practices.

WILD Time Travel: Natural Remedies

July 29 - Aug 2

Ages: 8-12 Years
9am-2pm
Time travel through history with us during this summer camp week geared towards older children. Get a glimpse of what life was like throughout different historical periods and how people used the natural resources around them to solve day to day problems. How did the Vikings treat battle wounds? What remedy did colonists use to treat colds? Explore with us during this brand new week!

 

Tuition

Monday through Friday: 9:00am – 12:00pm (Extended Hours available upon request)

Members Ages 3-4: $325/week
Members Ages 5-12: $310/week
Non-Member: $395/week
WILD Time Travel: Natural Remedies: $395 for all members. 9:00am-2:00pm
Members include children enrolled in CSNL’s Nature Preschool, Forest Homeschool Co-op, or Pioneer Homeschool Co-op for 2023-2024 and/or 2024-2025 school years.
